Where are ADUs allowed:

ADUs are permitted only in single family lots with more than 2,000 square feet of lot area.

Types of ADUs:

Attached or Converted ADUs are permitted in Hastings on Hudson.

Parking:

At least one additional off-street parking space shall be provided for an accessory apartment.

Size:

The accessory apartment floor area can not exceed 33% of the main dwelling floor area.

Rental Use:

Accessory Apartments can't be used as short-term rentals.

Other Requirements:

Owner occupancy is required.

A public hearing is required.

There can be a maximum of two bedrooms.

There are specific yard specifications (see zoning).

The maximum roof height cannot exceed 15 feet.
